Sam I Am Cafe

While passing through on a wet day , I chose Sam I Am Cafe, on a whim as the name drew was enticing. As I entered the cafe it was modern, elegant and cosy. The staff perfectly portrayed an atmosphere that was inviting and made myself and my friend feel like regulars that came in daily. I was pleasantly surprised when talking to the staff that they offered stickers, topping off the experience. The food was delicious, and both my friend and I were envious of what the other ordered. Definitely worth the drive to come again (I'm an hour north)

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Sam I Am Café in Vale today and absolutely loved it! The team was warm, welcoming, and so accommodating, which made the whole experience even better. We ordered Eggs Benedict, Avocado on Toast, and Poached Eggs. All dishes beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The Benny was easily one of the best I’ve ever had, especially with the generous side of halloumi. The bacon is out of this world! Coffee was spot on too the almond latte was excellent. A true little gem that we can’t wait to return to next time we’re in the area.

This place was wonderful. Locally sourced produce, everything made on site or sourced from the McLaren Vale surrounds. The food and coffee was delicious; thoughtfully put together. Our dog was made very welcome. The owners looks after their guests and are really lovely. This is not just a nice place to stop but a place worth making a detour to.

We've just visited under re-ownership and have noticed a total change! Very warm service from the owners. Food and dink has been great quality past 3 visits; especially their coffee's and smoothies with a exotic range of meals, with the most recent vist being for their chicken waffles and pulled pork burger! Very welcoming atmosphere and staff with the service being quick to assist you Looking forward to the next visit! Would recommend to anyone looking for a new place to dine!

This café was a highlight on our recent trip into McLaren Cale. Super chilled vibe, great for a relaxed breakfast, brunch catch-up, or even just a quiet coffee break. The coffee? Absolutely on point — smooth and flavorful. The all-day brunch menu is full of delicious options (and yes, the portions are generous!). Cakes and pastries are fresh and seriously tasty — perfect with a coffee or tea. I also loved the juices and smoothies — super fresh, not too sweet, and just what you need to feel refreshed. Service was lovely too — really friendly staff, quick service, and just a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Great food, great vibes, and surprisingly reasonable prices. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Went in this morning and had chicken waffles and my partner had a pulled pork burger and they both were so tasty and were presented fantastically. They welcomed us in with a friendly smile and were so welcoming to everyone. Definitely recommend it!!

Don't ever leave reviews on Google however absolutely had to for Sam I Am. An amazing cafe, with the most friendly and kind staff which really captured the essence of a McLaren Vale. I felt to welcomed and hope that I can bring my see family one day!

Great local Cafe with awesome customer service where they make you feel at home! Amazing tasty breakfast and coffee! Tried the chicken & waffles and was a great mix of savoury and sweet. Definitely recommend it! Also tried the biscoff and hazelnut hot muffin. It was my wife's birthday and they put a candle in it and all the staff sang happy birthday to her. It was great!
